Meanwhile, the flight takes around three hours for people coming from Tegucigalpa. Budget travelers can also take the bus in Tegucigalpa and then a ferry from Trujillo to Guanaja. The bus ride will take around 6 hours, and the ferry ride is about an hour.

How Do You Get to Guanaja From Roatan?

There are no direct flights from Roatan to Guanaja. The best way to get to Guanaja is to fly from Roatan to La Ceiba and then take a flight from La Ceiba to Guanaja. This will take a total of about 2 hours.

Otherwise, tourists can also take the ferry from Roatan to La Ceiba, take a bus going to Trujillo, and finally take the ferry from Trujillo to Guanaja. This will take a total of around 8 hours, though. If you don’t mind taking the long route, this is a great way to see more of Honduras.
